Working West Shore 2030 Released

Earlier this month, the New York City Department of City Planning and the New York City Economic Development Corporation released “Working West Shore 2030,” which provides a vision for the development and growth of Staten Island’s West Shore that encompasses an area of approximately 6,300 acres and 12 miles of shoreline.   As stated in the report, the idea behind “Working West Shore 2030″ came from the Mayor’s Staten Island Growth Management Task Force, which “called for a comprehensive framework for land use and infrastructure decisions on the West Shore that would respond to the borough’s changing needs and to manage future growth.”     Read the rest of this entry »
